The reverse of the 2024 Gold Kangaroo features a kangaroo jumping over a dry creek bed on the Australian Outback. KANGAROO is prominently stamped over the marsupial’s back, and a windmill and water tank are featured in the background. 2024, 1/4 oz, 9999 GOLD, and P125 are stamped around the rim to mark the year of issue, coin weight, gold purity, and the Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.

The obverse displays the regent side profile of the recently coronated King Charles III. 25 DOLLARS, AUSTRALIA, and CHARLES III are stamped around the rim. The Gold Kangaroo holds a $25 (AUD) face value backed by the Australian government.
