The reverse side of the 2025 Gold Kangaroo features a lounging kangaroo in the foreground with a second kangaroo in the background standing tall over a native grass tree (“Xanthorrhoea australis”). KANGAROO is prominently marked overhead with 2025, 1/2 oz, 9999 GOLD, and P stamped around the field’s perimeter to mark the year of issue, coin weight, gold purity, and the Perth Mint.

The obverse displays the left side profile of King Charles III. 50 DOLLARS, AUSTRALIA, and CHARLES III are stamped around the rim. The Gold Kangaroo holds a $50 (AUD) face value backed by the Australian government.
